Review: First Impression Holika Holika Fairy Water Pure Fresh Emulsion

I bet the cute guys caught your eye, huh? Only in Korea do you see men as ambassadors for a makeup company. This set of great guys is named CNBLUE. While most are boy groups, they are a band. They are pretty talented too. Can you tell that I love them? That's why I want to love their brand - and so I decided to FINALLY try something from them.

"Hypo-allergenic skincare with 6 irritant-free formula for your delicate skin. Magical fairy water makes your skin soft and revitalized."

So let's see if this emulsion really has magical properties to make your skin soft.

Vision: The container is a cross between glass and plastic. It's not that cheap plastic container, but it's not glass either. It's packaged well. It doesn't feel like it would break if I accidentally drop it. It contains 170ml.

Smell: This is sad. It smells like a Chinese herbal thing. I want my skin care to smell nice - maybe floral or fruity, or even just no scent. But a Chinese herbal smell? I would like to say that you won't be able to smell it once you put it on, but you still do, faintly.

And it's sad because how could you be excited to take care of your face when you are presented with this? This is quite disappointing =(

Touch: It is very runny. If you want to use just one finger to put this on, you have to be quick about it. It's just a bit thicker than water.

Effect: I put this on as soon as I got it. I currently have some dry patches on. It absorbs well and didn't leave a shiny effect. Also, no bad reactions from my sensitive skin. Sadly, it didn't do much. It moisturized my face a bit, but did not do anything for my dry patches. So, I applied it again before going to sleep.

The next day... Okay, I see now that the emulsion moisturized my dry areas a bit. So it's not really 'too mild to be useless'.

So I guess this is good during summer time, or if you have oily skin. (I did a quick Google search and it turns out, moisturizer is still recommended for people with oily skin. Since "moisturizer hydrates the skin, and your skin doesn't need oils.")

Will I repurchase? No. The formula is good - not great, but good enough if you only need mild moisturization (which is not a word), but you know, THE SCENT! Just... not good enough, you know? There's probably tons more emulsions out there which has good formulation and awesome scent (or no scent).

Price: Sale at $10.99 on ebay

Sooo... hooray for a new layout on reviews! It's easier to read now! Right? =)
